When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” --Matthew 9:36-38
Pacific Crest Church
The Pacific Crest Trail is a Long-distance mountain hiking trail closely aligned with the highest portions of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain rages, which lie 100 to 150 miles east of the Pacific Coast. The trail covers beautiful scenic and pristine mountainous terrain and sits in the backyard of thousands of people who will never know what majesty is at their feet.
Pacific Crest Church is a part of the story of God. It is beautiful and adventurous, and there are millions of people who do not know the majesty that dwells so closely to them.
Where God has called us:
We believe God is up to something with the church in the northwest. The Wenatchee area is our target area of outreach and growth. The Wenatchee Valley has two counties divided by the narrow Columbia river. Between the two counties, over 60% of the 112,000 residents are un-churched. We believe that "God is love. The church is the story of God’s love and His preferred future for all people. She walks in grace and shows the world the storyline of Christ that gives a beginning and has a future. Every life in Wenatchee Valley has a story. The church doesn’t erase or destroy the created story; it redeems and adds color of the Savior to the glory of God." These are the people to whom we are called.
OUR CORE VALUES:
• Generosity – We believe the Kingdom of God is called to be generous. We will create and nurture opportunities for people in our area to live generous towards God and one another.
• Outward – We believe that Christ has called us to discover Him and become disciples. His mercy is new every morning and as His people we discover new places where He is and where we can continue to go.
• Empowerment – When Jesus saw the people, He saw that they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” We believe we are called to help empower lives that experience brokenness and lead them into the preferred future God intends for them.
• Story – When Jesus taught, He told stories. In fact, scripture says, “He did not tell them anything without using stories.” Matthew 13:34-35 The Story of God is faithful to all generations. This makes the Gospel real and tangible today because it includes us. Right here, right now.

We understand that our journey to faith comes from all corners. As we seek to know Jesus we believe He has called us to UNITY in His name, Jesus. We do not seek uniformity as we know we all are different parts of the body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and we are His hands and feet for the world today. People called to bring good news and the message of reconciliation. When we discover differences among one another, we draw back to the name above all names and the best picture of God we could ever get... Jesus.
WE BELIEVE:
In one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible;
And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God; begotten, not made; being of one essence with the Father; by Whom all things were made;
Who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from the Heavens, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man;
Jesus was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried;
And (Jesus) arose again on the third day according to the Scriptures;
And ascended into the Heavens, and sits at the right hand of the Father;
And shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead; Whose Kingdom shall have no end;
In the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life; Who proceeds from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spoke by the Prophets;
In One, Holy, Church.
We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead and eternal life with Jesus and the Father,
And the life of the age to come. Amen.
